Your pets

Does your pet never leave your side? ASL AIRLINES FRANCE also welcomes your pet on board!

Our company complies with IATA requirements for the transport of live animals, whether domestic or not. These requirements are set out in the IATA LIVE ANIMAL REGULATIONS, published annually.

In order to complete all formalities relating to your pet, you must present yourself at check-in no later than 90 minutes before your flight’s scheduled time.

The transport of pets(dogs and cats only) is authorized only after approval by the Company and subject to compliance with the rules below.

Warning: Travelers are advised not to import animals without complying with current regulations, especially from countries where the rabies virus is circulating.

In the hold

  • They must be properly placed in a suitable “vari kennel” type crate, equipped with an absorbent material (blanket or mat). Your pet must be able to stand upright in the crate and walk around it on its own. The crate must have at least two open sides to allow air to circulate. For dogs and cats with crushed noses (such as Shar-Peïs, Carlins, Bouledogues…), a transport crate ventilated on all 4 sides is mandatory.
  • They must be accompanied by all documents in order, such as health certificates, vaccination certificates (an anti-rabies blood test must be carried out 3 months before returning to France) and entry permits or transit certificates (for more information, please ask your tour operator*). They must also be tattooed or microchipped. If you fail to comply with any of these conditions, your pet will not be allowed to travel.

The hold is illuminated, ventilated, heated and pressurized.

In the cabin

  • Very small dogs and cats are admitted in the cabin, provided that their cabin (soft pet carrier bags) is fully enclosed and respects the dimensions 40 X30 X24 cm, i.e. a maximum of 94 cm.
  • The combination of animal + soft bag must not exceed 9KG.
  • Rigid cages prohibited.
  • 1 animal per passenger (maximum of 2 from the same litter).
  • They must be accompanied by all documents in order, such as health certificates, vaccination certificates (an anti-rabies blood test must be carried out 3 months before returning to France) and entry permits or transit certificates (for more information, please ask your tour operator*). They must also be tattooed or microchipped. If you fail to comply with any of these conditions, your pet will not be allowed to travel.
  • Pets weighing 9 kilos or more, with the exception of guide dogs (see “Guide dogs” section). Disabled and reduced-mobility passengers “) must travel in the hold (which is illuminated, ventilated, heated and pressurized).

Your pet and its container are considered as additional baggage. additional baggage and are subject to our company’s pet transportation tariffs.

Animals prohibited from transport

  • 1st category dogs and breeds such as Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers (Pitbulls), Mastiffs (Boerbulls) and Tosa are not allowed in the cabin or in the hold.
  • Transport of species defined as protected is subject to presentation of duly completed CITES documents.
  • The import of pet primates is prohibited in France.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in the animal being returned to its country of origin, quarantined and, in certain special cases (infection, suspected virus, injury) euthanized (French regulations).
