Discovering Oujda
Backed by Saïdia, Oujda is a cosmopolitan city on the Algerian border. Here you’ll find the ancient ramparts, witness to the city’s history and its various Berber, Andalusian and Ottoman influences.
A historic monument, the remaining ramparts were built by Driss Ben Yaïch in 1896. Two of the oldest gates, Bab El Gharbi and Bab Sidi Abdelaouahab, lead into the medina. Discover also the ancient Al Kabir mosque, the sublime Medersa mérinide, the Dar Essebti palace, the Rafess and Guenfouda caves.
