Europe Airpost starts the summer season in Ireland

Dublin, April 26, 2012 – Tuesday May 1st, Europe Airpost launches the first series of flights for the 2012 summer season. For 2012, Europe Airpost opens new destinations and new departure bases.

 

New destinations : Dalaman, Burgas, Roma, Milano, Keflavik, Corfu, Asturias. In addition to the historical destinations : Zakynthos, Heraklion, Napoli, Dubrovnik, Salzburg, Toulouse, Lourdes, Lanzarote, Palma.

 

New departure bases in Ireland (Tralee, Kerry County) and Northern Ireland (Belfast). In addition of the current bases of departure : Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock.

 

During the season, the aircraft will operate a number of flights for Irish passengers for EURO 2012 to Gdansk and Poznan in Poland. Ahead of the launch of the summer season, a first set of flights departing from Dublin to Keflavik was initiated earlier this month. Europe Airpost, during the 2011 season, transported 94,000 passengers and achieved 2,400 flight hours, in which 2,000 hours were achieved with the Dublin based aircraft operated by her sister company Air Contractors, the only Irish incorporated charter airline.

 

Europe Airpost and Air Contractors launched passenger charter flights departing from Dublin with a B737-300 on April 2010. This new Irish aircraft offers air transportation for passengers departing from Dublin; operates leisure and charter passengers flights for tour operators : Joe Walsh Tours, Croatia Tours, TUI, Sunway Travel Group, Thomas Cook AG and Topflight.

 

This service offers the tour operators the opportunity of flying their customers with an Irish airline departing from Dublin to European and Mediterranean destinations.  Operated with Air Contractors’s crews, flying under Air Contractors license, the B737-300 is commercialised by Europe Airpost and painted in Europe Airpost’s livery.
